Introduction
Srirangapatna ( Shrirangapattana; anglicized to Seringapatam during the British Raj) is a town and one of the seven Taluks of Mandya district, in the Indian State of Karnataka. Located near the city of Mysore, it is of religious, cultural and historic importance. Ganjam Sri Rama Temple is an ancient temple of Karnataka, Mandya district, Ganjam Sri Rama Temple is in ruins, the island of Srirangapatna has a rich history to it. Here the primary deity is Rama, it’s completely ruined state. No poojas taken place here. there are innumerable temples scattered around the island of Srirangapatna. Due to the introduction of mechanization and automation in the jewellery industry, the Ganjam village lost out in its glorious tradition in this field to the modernization. Now the only connection may the name of some of the jewellery shops with the name Ganjam attached to them. On the other side of the river on a hill, Karigatta hill is another temple the temple of Lord Narasimha.
