Introduction

The Narayan Group of Temples comprises a collection of religious structures dedicated to Lord Vishnu, situated in the village of Devrara, within the Tharali Tehsil of the Chamoli District in the Uttarakhand State of India. These temples are recognized as state-protected monuments, overseen by the Archaeological Survey of India. This temple complex encompasses five shrines, with the primary one housing both a sanctum and a mandapa. Inside the sanctum, there is a finely detailed image of Lord Vishnu. Regrettably, the temple is in a deteriorated condition. The shikara atop the sanctum follows the nagara architectural style. Most of the other shrines within the complex consist solely of a sanctum and also adhere to the nagara style. The temple is believed to have a history dating back 1500 years. It is positioned approximately 9 kilometers away from Tharali along the Baijnath to Karnaprayag route.
