Introduction

Vayalur Muthumariamman Temple Sivanar is an Amman temple, located in the Vayalur village, Virudhachalam Circle, Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu state, India. The presiding deity is called as Kuberalingam. There were Ashta Dikku Lingams on all eight sides of the Viruddhachalam temple. Muthumariamman lives here under the big temple. [This Lingamoorthy and Kuberalingamoorthy in Vayalur were from the Vayalur Shiva Temple which was abandoned for the railway line]. They have set up a platform high to the tree and placed this Shiva on it facing east side of the muthumariamman temple. In front of him are a beautiful Nandi and an altar.
