Introduction

Kumbakonam – On the winding road in Nachiyarko, after crossing the Government Road, turn left to the Alagaputhur (Arisilkaraiputhur) Temple. There is an arch and the next 200 meters on the right is the road to Karuvalarcheri on the north side. There is an 800year old Enanallur – North Agraharam Shiva Temple here. The old temple has been in ruins for 70 years without worship. Left unmaintained. Some 13th-century inscriptions were found from this temple. Kumbakonam where all the idols except the two lingams were stolen. An almost new temple was built by the effort. Ganesha, Murugan, Ambal, Nandi, Sundeswarar, were created in Mahabalipuram and consecrated in 2010. Lord- Chidambarasar Goddess- Sivagami. There are no deities in the sanctuary line, Sanders is in the regular part. At the back of the sanctum is the large lingamurthy. In the northeast, there is a statue of a king in handwork with some ruined stones. He could not be identified as he was not fully carved. Ten years have passed and the temple has not grown as much as expected. One reason is the lack of involvement of local loved ones. The second reason is that we, the out-of-town devotees, do not go to visit all the village Shiva temples, but pay homage to what the astrologers say is the temple of reparation and travel the iron pipe path like animals. He freezes only in the resurrected village shrines, lovingly accepting the one-time puja that is performed sincerely. # “With the kind permission of Sri Kadambur K. Vijayan, these are extracted from his posts”.
