Introduction

Mayiladuthurai District- Arivalur Shiva Temple is on the Mayiladuthurai-Thiruvarur Road. The whole temple is completely ruined.Only the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Swayambhunath is left. The grassroots people have their own deities who do not know the worship of Shiva, or its methods. So they do not like the temple.Going back to the rich temples only and filling the piggy bank there in the name of prayer. We are still spending our days in cages and iron pipelines in the name of devotion. so the media, magazines, astrologers, false preachers have commercialized devotion as sacrifice, anointing, and atonement.
