Introduction

The walls of the fort are hugely carved on both sides like the majestic porters you see when entering the temple. The construction of these cave temples, which are dedicated to the 24 Tirthankaras of the Jain period, began in the 7th century AD and continued till the 15th century. A total of twenty-six caves are found here, both small and large. When the Mughals gained strength and conquered these areas, they destroyed everything except the great sculptures and statues. They have done as much damage as possible, especially during the Babur regime. The flow of time and the fall of the Mughals were completed and maintained in the nineteenth century under British rule and somewhat recovered from decay. Here, the statue of Rishabananda and the statue of Adinatha are carved at a height of about 58 feet. It is currently maintained under the control of the Archaeological Survey of India.
