Introduction

Jain Basadi of Mulagunda village is on the brink of destruction. The Basadi is one of the ancient Jain architecture in Karnataka. Now is a center of in-social elements, Mulgund village, Near Gadag, Karnataka Mulgund in Gadag taluk had the unique privilege of being an eminent resort of Jaina faith. For several centuries it remained as a renowned and highly sanctified area by the presence of great teachers and several Jaina religious institutions. Here the deity is Adinatha, some of the idols are in dilapidated condition. This Jain temple is now under dilapidated condition and trees are surrounded by temples. Near by the village people take rest and playing cards in the Jain temple. No proper maintaneaces. Even no poojas are taken places.
