Introduction

Keerappakkam is a village located in the Chengalpattu taluk, Kanchipuram district in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is 8 km from Keerappakkam-Urappakkam. The eight- Shiva lingam is found outside the city under a birch tree. The primary deity is lord shiva and nandi devar in front, no other deity is here. The idol of Nandi is newly made and placed in front of the Swami. The large pond is also nearby by the shiva lingam. Occasionally the villagers perform puja in some special days only. Village people no one takes care to build a temple for this shiva lingam. The shiva is lonely in the city under a birch tree.
