Introduction

Kuthalam – Kattalaicherry is located at a distance of 1 km across the Vickrama Chola River which flows east of Thirumangalam on the crossroads. The village has a Shiva temple and a Vaishnava temple. There is a half an acre Shiva temple facing east. Instead of the eastern gate being permanently closed, the southern gate is the only way to go. Lord – Chidambaraswarar The name of Goddess is not known. The Lord is facing east and the Goddess is facing south. There is a Ganesha shrine in Prakaram. The priest of the temple comes from Murugamangalam which is five to six km away No one knows when it will come Puja only once or twice a week.
