Introduction

An ancient stone temple is found among the bushes in the village of Janakipuram, which is located before Madurantakam on the Chennai-Trichy Highway. The idols of Swami in the ruined stone temple are kept in a small temple nearby. Swami’s Thirunam Sri Boodhalingeshwarar. The statue of Ambal was not found. Shivalingam was made by Narmada Pana. There are idols of Sri Ganesha, Sri Arumugam, Sri Mahavishnu, Sri Dakshinamoorthy, Sri Brahma, Sri Durga, and Jashta Devi. Temple Thirukulam is also nearby. It is said that Sri Sita Devi was worshiped. City buses are available from Madurantakam and Chengalpattu.
