Introduction

Sri Nandi temple is located in the Hulukudi Betta, Hulukudi village, Galibilikote, Karnataka state. The temple is near to Sri Mukkaneshwara temple. A long flight of rock cut steps to a small temple that housed the Nandi. The Nandi statue was huge. It is supposedly carved out of a single stone. This is very much similar to the boulder named Krishna’s butter ball in Mahabalipuram (Tamil Nadu).
