Introduction

Sri Mukkaneshwara Temple is located in the Hulukudi Betta, Hulukudi village, Galibilikote, Karnataka state. The temple is located at the top of the hill. This is a cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of a linga. The nandhi is placed outside the temple in broken shape. The temple consists of a garbhagriha and a navaranga. The Shiva Linga is a large one and resembles Chola architecture. There is also a Tamil inscription on a stone by the side of the temple.
