Introduction

Terakanambi is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in the Gundlupet taluk of Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka. Terakanambi has historical temples of Lakshmi Varadaraja Swamy, Triyambakapura, Hulugana Muradi Venkataramana Swamy, Hande Gopalaswamy and many more, and was the pre-coronation home of Kanthirava Narasaraja I aka Ranadhira Narasaraja (reigned 1638–1659). Terakanambi is the major town in the nearby areas between ChamarajaNagar and gundlupet and terakanambi is famous for temple. Here the Hande Gopalaswami Temple is located. This temple is in dilapidated condition. The primary deity is lord Goplaswami. The villagers clear the plants but the temple still in bad shape. The children are playing in the temple. No poojas taken place. The other temple is in good shape.
