Introduction

There are many murttankal hidden in the soil, well, and pond during the Anniyar invasion. One of them is Lord Shiva in Cholanthangal village. The size of the lingam is very big. The digging foot below cannot be seen the bottom of the lingam and the village people left it as it was. A roof has been set up temporarily. They come here and perform puja. The Lord is seen in solitude in the forest beyond the city.
