Description

Kashi, also renowned as Varanasi, is a sacred land, recognized as a Punya Kshetra, where Lord Vishwanath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, resides. It is a Pitru Sthala, where ancestral rites are conducted to facilitate the liberation of our forebears. At Kashi, we offer Brahman Bhojan online, providing sattvic food to Brahmins while taking a sacred Sankalpa (vow) in the name and gotra (lineage) of the Yajman (sponsor).

Brahman Bhojan is a significant ritual observed on various occasions, including:

  • Serving food to Brahmins as a gesture of reverence.
  • Celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events.
  • During Pitru Pujas to honor ancestors.
  • In the period of Pitru Paksha, dedicated to ancestral offerings.
  • As part of the yearly Shradh Ceremony, which pays homage to departed souls.
  • During the Barsi Ceremony, an annual remembrance of the deceased.

Brahman Bhojan holds the power to grant fulfillment and spiritual solace in the afterlife. Through this ritual, we can appease and seek blessings from our ancestors spanning 14 generations.

Within one’s capacity, various offerings can be made to a Brahmin, including Dakshina (donation) and the provision of food. This act serves as an indirect prayer to the Almighty, as it is directed towards individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving God and humanity.
