Vishwakarma Puja is a celebration that acknowledges the role of Lord Vishwakarma in the creation and maintenance of the material world. It is a time for expressing gratitude, seeking blessings, and fostering a positive and prosperous atmosphere in the workplace.
Rituals:
- Puja Preparation: Workspaces, factories, machines, and tools are cleaned and decorated in preparation for the puja.
- Prayers and Offerings: Puja ceremonies involve the chanting of mantras dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma and the offering of flowers, fruits, and sweets.
- Arti: The traditional arti (light waving) is performed, accompanied by the singing of hymns and devotional songs.
- Auspicious Occasion: Vishwakarma Puja is generally observed on the last day of the Bengali month of Bhadra, which falls in September or October. However, the date may vary regionally.
