Introduction
Chadurveda Vinayakar Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha located at Needamangalam Town in Thiruvarur District of Tamilnadu. Presiding Deities are Chadurveda Vinayakar and Maha Mari Amman. Sthala Vriksham is Vembu (Neem Tree). Theertham is Vennaru River. The Temple is located at about 24 Kms from Kumbakonam, 15 Kms from Mannargudi, 30 Kms from Tiruvarur and 33 Kms from Thanjavur and 88 Kms from Trichy. Nearest Railway Station is located at Needamangalam and Nearest Airport is located at Trichy
Puranic Significance
The temple had been renovated by the people of this place and grew and fame in the years that followed. Maha Mariamman idol was found from the tank while cleaning. Amman is the Kuladevatha of number of families and is praised Mariamman temple also. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old. The consecration of the temple was performed in the year 2002. Tradition has it, that those aspired to learn the 4Vedas prayed to Lord Vinayaka seeking his blessings to master the same and succeeded and named Lord as Chaturveda Vinayaka. The other reason is that the ripe woman poet of Tamil Avvaiyar offered four Nivedhanas to him to achieve excellence in Tamil poetry.
Beliefs
Devotees pray for wedding and child boon, education, offering children in adoption and prosperity in life. Devotees offer sick children to the temple and take back when they become marriageable. They carry milk pots, do tonsuring, and offer cocks, goats and grains

Presiding Deities are Chadurveda Vinayakar and Maha Mari Amman. Sthala Vriksham is Vembu (Neem Tree). Theertham is Vennaru River. The temple being in a square shape, Lord Vinayaka is named as Chaturveda Vinayaka (Chatura in Tamil means square). Three rivers Vennaru, Korayaru and Pamani are running on the three sides of the temple. The Rajagopuram has three Kalasas. Balipeeta, flag post and a trident are on the north side of the Mandapam. Deity Pechiamman is facing north. Maha Mandapam has facility to accommodate 100 people worshipping at the same time. Lord Vinayaka occupies the centre stage in this square shaped temple. Maha Mari Amman grants darshan from the Saturn corner and Lord Kasi Viswanatha and Mother Visalakshi grace from the shrine in the south west part.
Festivals
Chithirai Thiruvizha in April- May, last Fridays in Aadi and Aavani month (July – September months) Deepa pujas, Vinayaka Chaturthi in August – September are the festivals followed in the temple.
