Introduction

Maha Prathiangira Devi Temple is located in Koramballam Ayyanadaippu Siddar Nagar, Tuticorin district. The temple is designed architecture of Kerala, an 11-feet tall statue of Goddess Prathiyangara and Kalabhairava is erected in a realistic form. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.

Puranic Significance

In the temple, Maha Prathyangaradevi is rising towards the north. In the Vishwarupak Golam with ten arms, Mahakala Bhairava is rising towards the west. Dakshinamurthy Guru Mahalingeswarar has risen towards the south in the temple complex.

The auspicious deities Saniswarar, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Sarabeswarar, Panchamuga Ganapati, Sulini Durga, Simma Ganapati, Muniswarar, Gurubhagavan, Dakshinamurthy, Navagraha and Kali are also worshiping in the temple complex.

An additional special feature is that the temple is naturally located opposite the Cemetery. If you worship the goddess here, the marriage bar will be removed. You will be blessed with a son. Deadly diseases will go away. Enemies’ tricks will disappear.

Beliefs

Devotees who worship the Mahakala Bhairav here will get back the lost treasures. The curse of the ancestors will be removed and life will be superior. Special worships are held on Sundays with the occasional Bhairav Sarabheswarar Homam. If you worship Goddess Maha Pratiyangira on Thursday morning, will be cured of all diseases and blessed with peace & prosperity. If the mother is worshiped on Friday wearing a lotus flower and adorned with sandalwood, the marriage ban will be lifted and get good groom.
