Introduction

Thenodacheri Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Thenodacheri village, Thiruvarur circle, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. This village is 5 km south of Suranur on the Thiruvarur – Gangalanchery – Nagore road. Odacherri is located on the north bank of Vettar, today it may be known as Thenodacheri. This Shiva temple is facing east side. There is also a large Iyanar temple on the left side in the village. A small temple facing east is Audaiyar with a Chaturapeedam of the Lord, a small Vinayagar nearby, Ambigai on a south-facing side. The temple is in a small shed. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
