Introduction

Puthupidahai Margasagayar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Puthupidahai village, Mayiladuthurai circle, Mayiladuthurai district, Tamil Nadu.Here the Lord Shiva had a temple to the east in the hamlet, which is the only street, there was a temple earlier. Now that the temple is completely in ruins, all the idols are kept in a small building and worshiped for a few years.The Presiding deity is called as Lord Markasakayar and Mother is called as Valambal. Other deities are Ganesha, Murugan, Sandesar Bhairava, Suriya Chandras in the temple. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old. To build a new temple, work has started and stopped due to Corona.
