The Dodrepal Temple, believed to be dedicated to Lord Shiva, is thought to have been constructed in the 13th century CE.
An important historical inscription was discovered in the village associated with the temple, bearing the name of the Kakatiya ruler Jayasimha and engraved in Nagari script. This inscription, found near the temple, is now preserved in the Archaeological Museum in Jagdalpur, providing valuable historical evidence about the temple’s age and its connection to the ruler Jayasimha.

The remains of an ancient Shiva temple are located on the banks of the Gudiyari pond, which covers an area of approximately two and a half acres.
