The Vishwaroopa Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is situated in Kattavakkam, a quaint village near Walajabad in Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu. Known for the grandeur of its presiding deity, the temple showcases Lord Narasimha in a seated form (Veetrirundha Thirukkolam) alongside Goddess Lakshmi. The towering idol, nearly 25 feet tall from the base to the hoods of Adisesha, captivates devotees with its majestic form and serene smile.   • Iconography of the Deity:
    Lord Vishwaroopa Lakshmi Narasimha is depicted seated with Goddess Lakshmi perched gracefully on his left lap. She tenderly embraces him with her right hand while holding a lotus flower in her left hand, symbolizing peace and prosperity.
    • Divine Attributes: The Lord’s rear left hand wields the Sudarshana Chakra, a powerful weapon, while his rear right hand holds a bow and arrow, signifying his incarnation as Lord Rama.
    • Forehand Mudras: His front hands display the Abhaya Hastha (offering protection and assurance) and Varada Hastha (granting boons) postures, reinforcing his role as the savior of those who surrender to him.
    • Three Eyes and Adisesha: The Lord is adorned with a third eye on his forehead, symbolizing divine omniscience. Above his head, the serpent Adisesha spreads its seven hoods, each adorned with glittering Nagarathnam jewels, emphasizing his supreme protection and cosmic authority.
