Introduction

Kamalapuram Dhyana Lingeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Kamalapuram village, Kudavasal circle, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Kamalapuram is located on the northern bank of Vennaru at a distance of 19 km on the Thiruvarur – Mannargudi road. Here on the side of the main road is this Dhyana Lingeswarar Temple which is built in small open shed and this small temple is facing north side. The presiding deity is called as Dhyana lingeswarar. The big lingam also has a big Nandi in front of it. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
