Introduction

Alangudicherry Thiruneelanakkanathar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Alangudicherry village, Nagai circle, Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu. Here the Presiding deity is called as Thiruneelanakanathar. Alangudi Puducherry is now called as Alangudicherry, where once the Shivalayam has disappeared completely without a trace, only a big lingam is standing with a tin shed and platform by some good people. Even more so, a good person is performing eternal puja by singing the devars he knows. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
