Introduction
Thiruvelumkondeswaran Temple is located in the village of Kallikudi in the Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is completely ruined amidst the Karivelam plants. The Lord here is called Thiruvelumkondeswaran. Plant vines have sprouted everywhere in the temple. The roof, with no Vimanam, shows the Lord in the shade of the trees. Nandithevar is seen sitting on a stone outside the temple and looking at the sanctum sanctorum. Ganesha is found in a nearby tree unable to bear the heat of the sun. The pillars of the temple are scattered around the temple. There is no goddess. Nearby villagers come and go only during festivals.
