The people of Urma perform special ablutions on the auspicious days of Nandi. Opposite Nandi, on the front wall of the sanctum sanctorum, there is a window for viewing the Lord. To worship the Lord you have to go up the stairs on the south side of the vestibule. There is no air system above the sanctuary. There must have been a plane made of brick-and-mortar. The sanctuary is located in a rectangular shape. There are five angels on the wall. These should include Ganesha, Dakshinamoorthy, Linkodpavar, Brahma and Durga. But there are no deities in any of them. The sanctuary is characterized by a pedestal-like structure.
