Introduction

Royapuram can be reached by crossing the Needamangalam-Poovanur road on the Kumbakonam-Mannargudi road for the next 1 km and then 2 km on the westbound road. Also known as Royampuram. Slightly northeast of the town is a large pond in front of the Shiva Temple. The east-facing temple is the smallest temple. It is also known as one of the 80 Sundareswarar temples built during the Pandya period. Lord- Sundareswarar Goddess Meenakshi. Before the Lord, there is a long conical hall.
