Introduction

Khokai shiva is an ancient monastery and temple in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. This Khokai of Rannod, about 65 km away from Shivpuri, is located inside a dense forest. It is an ancient spiritual centre, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This monastery has a great religious and historical importance for Hindus. This monastery is built in around 6-7th century A.D., but still not maintained the temple, Other monuments around this place are Sita Sagar Temple, Mahua Temples, Terahi Temples & monastary and Siddheshwar Temple are in good condition.
